  • What's the difference between gland packing and encapsulated O-rings? Which one should I use?
    Gland packing is braided fiber for dynamic sealing on pump/valve stems – handles higher speeds. Encapsulated O-rings (FEP/PFA over silicone/FKM) are for static or low-speed sealing where chemical resistance and cleanliness are critical. Tell us your application, and we'll recommend.
  • What materials can you use for gland packing?
    PTFE, expanded graphite, aramid, carbon fiber, and blends (e.g., graphite with Inconel wire). We can also source branded raw materials like DuPont or Daikin upon request.
  • What's the temperature range for encapsulated O-rings?
    Silicone core + FEP: -60°C to 205°C.
    Silicone + PFA: -60°C to 260°C.
    FKM core + FEP/PFA: -20°C to 260°C.

  • Can encapsulated O-rings be used in FDA-regulated applications?
